About The Speakers
- Associate-Professor Hamish Coates, Director of Higher Education Research at the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) and Program Director with the LH Martin Institute for Higher Education Leadership and Management at The University of Melbourne Associate-Professor Coates has led several influential projects internationally that have shaped research, policy and practice. He directed a consortium of agencies to run the AHELO Feasibility Study.
- Dr Sarah Richardson, Senior Research Fellow, Higher Education Research, Australian Council for Educational Research and Fellow, School of Social and Political Sciences, The University of Melbourne Dr Richardson has worked on a number of research projects covering regional higher education, international student experience, student evaluations of teaching, and student engagement and assessment. Dr Richardson was the Director, Project Management and Survey Operations of the AHELO Feasibility Study.
- Professor Leo Goedegebuure, Director, LH Martin Institute, The University of Melbourne Professor Leo Goedegebuure is active in the field of higher education policy research and management. Prior to his move to Australia in 2005 (University of New England, Centre for Higher Education Management and Policy), Leo was Executive Director of the Center for Higher Education Policy Studies (CHEPS), at the University of Twente, Netherlands, Europe’s largest research centre in this field.
