NHL Season Props: Player Points
Although the lead-up into the NHL season doesn’t attain quite the fever pitch that’s attained during NFL preseason, puck drop is almost here, and I could not be more enthused.
BetOnline has hockey baseball bettors this season by releasing an extensive collection of participant point props. Below I have broken down a number of my preferred OVER/UNDERs around the board but make certain to check out the NHL tab to the home page to find breakdowns of all of the season futures, team previews and other fascinating stuff.
The Anaheim Ducks did not begin quacking until the next month of this season last year and that was awful for its production of players such as Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf. Both finished with 62 and 63 points in what was Perry’s worst points per match season since 2006-07 and Getzlaf’s worst since 2011-12. At the three seasons before last, Perry and Getz both averaged to a point a game. If these two stay healthy — which they always have — their collection point totals will be eclipsed. What Connor McDavid was able to do in his abbreviated season last year was absolutely phenomenal. He also scored 48 points and has already been anointed captain of the group. BetOnline has pegged him with an O/U point total of 86.5 and that I do not think that it’s ridiculous to project this kid as a 100-point scorer. Connor does something electrical every time he touches the puck and actually had the second-highest points a 60 minutes one of gamers that played over 12 games. The dude is efficient and may easily lead the league in scoring in only his second year as a pro.Connor’s linemate, Jordan Eberle, is the most likely beneficiary of the McDavid series and is based on have a career season. The right-winger’s O/U at this time is 59.5 and, frankly, it could be the easiest cash on the plank. Ebs had 76 points his second year at the league and he did that playing Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. RNH is good, but he is definitely not Connor. Another checkmark about the OVER facet of the prop is that the hole left by the Taylor Hall trade. Hall had 65 points playing on the Oilers’ top line and also his spot was filled from the lumbering Milan Lucic. Eberle is installed very well to break the 40-goal mark for the first time in his young NHL career.
