The wait will be over. The Premier League is finally back! Even though Spain and Germany restart following week along with Italy the following week, in addition, it means my weekly column of gambling selections makes its return!
Soccer bettors rejoice!
For new subscribers, I place this column each Friday and put my three favorite picks across the European soccer world (of fair value;??I will not consist of anything in the -200 area ) and typically outline some information, notes and tendencies that have grown over the leagues. My attention is generally Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1, but I’ll throw in the occasional Eredivisie or Liga NOS selections sometime??as well.
France’s Ligue 1 begins this weekend also, however I will use this week’s column to get a trio of Premier League selections.
The Premier League is going to be deep. Yes, we’ve got the six, however clubs like Everton, Wolves, Leicester, Watford and West Ham could, on paper , put some fear into these bigger clubs and also make the table intriguing.
Important to notice always: all the time it’s in your best interest to make your stakes AFTER beginning XI’s have been announced. All these come out about an hour before kickoff, however, personnel can change everything. Always have a contingency plan or remain away from gambling a??game completely if a star??player or two are lost in the starting lineup.
Do not drive anything and always stay up to date on participant and manager notes and news.
Also, the very first couple of weeks can be difficult. What has changed over a club over the summer break? Is that new transfer likely to pan out in the Premier League? Who is this new supervisor? At times it might be best to wait a couple of games before you start gambling so you may find a feel for any given team.
That is my advice to you personally. Me? I am gont jump in headfirst this week and I’ve got three Premier League bets all lined up.
Here is hoping we begin with a bang! Let’s go!
As always, odds courtesy Bovada.
The darlings of many a casual Premier League viewer plus several a footy bettor looking for an underdog play this past season, start the new campaign on the road at Leicester. Though the underdog 1X2 price of +260 looks pretty good, my drama here will be OVER 1.0 target for Wolves at +120.
First things first: they had been always much better against teams that dominated possession, allowing their opponents”think” they were having their way, even playing”their game.” But in reality, Wolves were at their best in this specific spot then pouncing on errors with a blistering counter-attack that frequently yielded pretty football and even prettier goals.
That is a significant part of the reason that I’ll be financing the Wolves OVER 1 within their opener. Leicester completed eighth in the Premier League in possession last season (50.8%) and this will potentially allow Wolves to sit back and play their game.
But another huge concern for Leicester is that the simple fact that their very best center back, Harry Maguire, has been sold to Manchester United without a replacement coming in. What does that mean to the center of the backline? Well, most likely, we will visit Jonny Evans and ??aglar S??y??nc?? and while the latter played with a few solid minutes every year, I just don’t see them doing enough to maintain Wolves off the board.
The Foxes won this fixture 2-0 final season, but Wolves acquired revival in January with a 4-3 goal-fest in the reverse osmosis. I am not suggesting we view seven objects in this but??that I certainly do not view Wolves being kept off the scoresheet. I expect this team to be fraught with confidence to start the year.

Man, did anybody in the Premier League have a worse move window compared to Crystal Palace? Furthermore, you may make a situation that Everton had just one of the best five windows.
Palace is going to be a disaster this year. They sold promising young fullback Aaron Wan-Bissaka and did nothing with the money they got for him. Who did they bring in? Well, it’s a veritable who’s who of boring Premier League players: Jordan Ayew, James McCarthy and Gary Cahill lead the underwhelming collection of incomings.
I can talk about how I like the loan??go for midfielder Victor Camarasa out of Real Betis, but it is insignificant. I like OVER 2.5 at +115 within this one and also once I look at the potential Everton XI, I truly wouldn’t be shocked if the Toffees take care of the number themselves.
Everton could have an assault that includes Richarlison, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Alex Iwobi and Moise Kean on Saturday, the latter two coming over from Arsenal and Juventus respectively. That is a fairly excellent quartet directly there, people.
Only two of the previous four Premier League meetings between those two would have eclipsed 2.5 and this fixture last year produced a drab 0-0 competition but it did return 22 efforts by the visitors.
Sure, it’s always tricky from the first weeks in regards to betting, but I’ll tell you that much: I’ll be seeking to play against Palace at every turn this year and a large reason for that is a lack of center encircle the likes of Maguire. I believe Everton includes a subject here but I wouldn’t be amazed to see Palace struck on the board. So I will take OVER 2.5.

If you read my column onto Premier League Futures Bets, you will notice I like Brighton to have relegated this season. I don’t expect much out of this team and I’m gonna try fading them in their opener off to Watford this weekend.
I enjoy Watford a lot. They have the capacity and employees to play some attractive football and score a few big wins and cash wagers with decent costs attached. Like this spot at -110.
The Hornets stack the Center of the pitch in their own 4-2-2-2 formation and boast talented players like Troy Deeney, Gerard Deulofeu, Roberto Pereyra and Abdoulaye Doucour??. Plus, they added exciting wide player Isma??la Sarr out of Stade Rennais in addition to experienced forwards Danny Welbeck. I liked the setup here but having a prospect and a veteran coming in, Watford has filled out some depth here.
Brighton doesn’t really bring much to the table, but did include some interesting pieces to the mix like Neal Maupay, Leandro Trossard and underrated midfielder Aaron Mooy. Still, I believe they are completely outclassed in this , especially at Vicarage Road.
Almost a year ago to this day, Watford won this fixture 2-0 thanks to a brace from Pereyra, that really faces a late fitness test if he’s to attribute for Javi Gracia. However, I think the Hornets are able to bag a win in front of the home crowd and get their season off into some buzzing start.
On this note, I’ll finish this week’s column.
