Another ugly for your San Jose Sharks, since they open the season. Both of their losses came together with the Vegas Golden Knights, against the identical group. The Golden Knights had a similar ending and won a 4-1 decision on Wednesday night. Last night, vegas conquered the Sharks at the Shark Tank at San Jose by a score of 5-1. Yikes. Not the start that the Sharks were looking for. Theyll get out to the ice Saturday against the Ducks in Anaheim.
This is a significant stretch to the Sharks, although it is early in the summer. Wonder if he is the perfect man for the task and GM Doug Wilson will begin looking at Peter DeBoer Should they continue to falter. DeBoer has been using the Sharks and theyve had success in the regular season. In his first season with the Sharks at 2015-16, they lost against the Pittsburgh Penguins and went to the Stanley Cup Final. The group lost in six matches to the Blues and went to the Conference Final last season.
With that sort of success, DeBoer will find some wiggle room plus a grace period. Unless things go sour in October wilson isnt likely to fire him. In case the locker room is not currently responding to DeBoer him is going to cross Wilsons thoughts. Failing to win the Stanley Cup in his tenure has already turned some fans .
Three games into the season becomes an important one. While the Ducks arent expected to do too much, the Golden Knights are a team. At least not a lot of individuals have the Ducks. So, should they play with another lazy sport and come out after that debacle, it could set the tone. Aaron Dell is probable to begin in net for the Sharks tonight. Martin Jones has not been sharp the first two matches, so its a nice prospect for Dell this evening. Head below for our complimentary Sharks vs. Ducks choice.
For a group who seemed as sloppy because the Sharks did last night, it might be to the better that they get back out on the ice. Rather than having the time to dwell on both games from the Knights, the Sharks can get straight back out looking for a bounce-back performance. It is too early in the season for a back-to-back to make an impact on a team. And this is.
To get a win to start the season the Ducks eked past the Arizona Coyotes. It was. A bounce here or there in favour of the Coyotes could have given them the win rather than the Ducks. Their ability to score goals was on screen against the Coyotes while the Ducks got the win.
This team will be fine with Cam Fowler about the line, but they will need to go to reach the match. The Ducks notched just 2.39 targets per match for 31st in the league a season ago. Some gift can help the veterans, but it not sufficient to see a drastic improvement. The Sharks have to be happy to find an offensively challenged team like the Ducks on the program after having to deal with the high-flying Golden Knights.
The Sharks should not hurt within this place, like I said. They get to place last night from their heads quickly. It would be another story, since there would have been a possibility for carrying the Ducks lightly tonight Perhaps when they pummeled Vegas. Following those two performances and getting overcome by a score of 9-2, there isnt time to shoot the Ducks. The Sharks probably wake up in Anaheim in this one. Regardless of how they appeared against Vegas, this cost is a good deal against the Ducks.
