Ronnie O’Sullivan claimed the Shanghai Masters title for a third year after an 11-9 victory over Shaun Murphy.
O’Sullivan, playing his first event recovered by a scratchy start where he dropped the first 3 frames.
He reeled 54, 78 and 53 to tie the session at 5-5.
Murphy nosed back ahead 7-6 with breaks of 111 and 66, 61.
However, a 130 from O’Sullivan started a run of four winning frames.
Murphy kept his hopes alive with visits of 90 and 82, but O’Sullivan ended with a rest of 86 to choose the 200,000 top prize.
