Michael Flynn has Chosen to Remain as Newport County boss following talks with Lincoln City.

Sky Sports News reported the Flynn talked on the weekend to the hierarchy of Lincoln and it’s understood he fitted the standards set by their own chairman Clive Nates, who was from South Africa to oversee the recruiting procedure.
League One team Lincoln lately dropped Nicky and Cowley brothers Danny into Huddersfield.
Newport gave Lincoln consent to hold discussions but their offer was rejected by the 38-year-old.
A Newport announcement read:”Following considerable media speculation, Newport County AFC can affirm the team received an approach in recent times from another EFL club for those expert services of director Michael Flynn.
“The Exiles’ plank gave permission for Michael to talk to another team.
“Michael has informed the board that all those talks are at an end and that he stays dedicated to, and entirely focused on, continuing his job as manager of Newport County AFC.”
It’s understood Lincoln also made contact with Wycombe director Gareth Ainsworth but he has since reiterated his commitment.
In an announcement on Wycombe’s website on Monday night, Ainsworth stated:”We have enjoyed a very strong start to the year and it’s always flattering to visit us – staff, players and the club as a complete – talked about in significant respect.
“But it is important that the attention is on ourselves and what we do as a team to ensure things continue to move in the right direction”
There is one other manager on the shortlist of Lincoln.
