Michael Flynn has opted to Remain as Newport County Manager after Discussions with Lincoln City.

Sky Sports News reported that Flynn talked to the rule of Lincoln within the weekend and it is understood he fitted the criteria set by their chairman Clive Nates, who was from South Africa to oversee the recruiting process.
League lost Cowley brothers Danny and Nicky to Huddersfield.
Newport gave permission to Lincoln to hold discussions but their offer was refused by the 38-year-old.
A Newport statement read:”Following considerable media speculation, Newport County AFC could confirm the club received a strategy in recent days from another EFL club for those services of manager Michael Flynn.
“The Exiles’ board gave permission for Michael to talk to another team.
“Michael has advised the board that all these talks are at a stop and that he stays committed to, and fully focused on, continuing his job as manager of Newport County AFC.”
He has since reiterated his commitment to his club although It’s understood Lincoln made contact Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth.
In an overview on Wycombe’s site on Monday night, Ainsworth stated:”We’ve enjoyed a very strong start to the year and it is always flattering to see us staff, players and the club as a whole – talked about in higher respect.
“However, it is essential that the attention is about ourselves and what we do as a club to ensure that things continue to proceed in the ideal direction.”
There’s one other unnamed manager on Lincoln’s shortlist.
