The Rockies had lost 10 of their past 11 until they notched a victory over the Cardinals, a group to last night which they’d dropped five straight and defied the odds. Nolan Arenado supplied all the offense the Rockies would require when he smashed a two-run monster taken at the very first inning that could seal the deal for Colorado.
The Cardinals will lick their wounds and try to return to the business where they hold a four-game contribute over the Cubs of winning. Tonight, they will send Dakota Hudson (15-6, 3.40 ERA, 1.41 WHIP) into the hill where he’ll look to continue his roster after winning five consecutive begins and today has 15 wins on the season, only the second rookie Cardinal pitcher to do so in over 50 years.
Antonio Senzatela (8-10, 7.19 ERA, 1.79 WHIP) was pretty much a train wreck since July 5th, allowing no less than six runs until a week ago if he allowed five runs on five hits before he was awarded the hook following three complete innings in a 7-2 loss to the Dodgers. The 24-year-old righty confronted the Cardinals on August 25th at which he lasted just one and two-thirds of an inning after surrendering six runs on five hits in an 11-4 setback to St. Louis.
The MLB odds being offered at all the very best online sportsbooks show this line has jumped from St. Louis -145 to as high as -160 as of this writing. If there was a place to fade a pitcher it would be the one as Senzatela was nothing short. It’s a bit bewildering he hasn’t been demoted in a stage in the season where an obligation to do so is not playing for simply the Rockies.
Unexpectedly, the Cardinals’ Dakota Hudson was brilliant recently, submitting a 1.37 ERA over his past four starts. He blanked the Rockies more than six innings where he allowed just two hits in a 6-0 victory. In addition, Hudson will not merely face a lineup he has handled but one which has averaged a paltry two runs a game.
Regardless of the fact that we will have to lay near -150 to find the chalky visitors in this , anything under -200 resembles value to me on St. Louis. I find that and that BetOnline is supplying the Cards at -147. Back St. Louis over the woeful Rockies in your MLB picks on cash and Wednesday night a ticket!
