He takes over from Damian McErlain, who stepped aside following two seasons at the helm. The Ulster County enjoyed a promising 2019 campaign, shoving against Tyrone hard and winning Division 4 of the National League.
Gallagher is going to likely be tasked with continuing their increase, after providing two seasons of genuine advancement in the Erne County.
Meanwhile, the winning supervisor, Jack O’Connor will triumph Cian O’Neill at Kildare. The Kerry native was supported last month, pending ratification in the county board.
Elsewhere, Colm Collins will return to the Banner County for a season. Collins was non-committal after the qualifier loss to Meath the summertime, indicating he’d require time to make up his mind. It had been confirmed on Tuesday evening he would continue.
