Why expect a drop in the Washington Wizards?
The three-headed monster of John Wall, Bradley Beal and Otto Porter Jr. continues to be trending up. Each guy is moving toward his athletic prime and building chemistry with the other members of the triumvirate whilst seeking to maintain himself as a highest talent in his respective position. Wall is already there, and another two aren’t far behind.
And if you are concerned about the seat, don’t be–not for the reason you may anticipate.
Last year’s second-stringers were dreadful. They routinely squandered leads and dug inescapable holes for the starters. This season’s chair set shouldn’t be much better, as Tim Frazier, Jodie Meeks and Mike Scott aren’t exactly marquee additions. And that is almost irrelevant.
The non-starters are bad. We are aware that much. On the other hand, the starters are still in place, along with the Wizards posted an 8.1 net rating last year when Wall,” Beal, Porter, Markieff Morris and Marcin Gortat were around the ground together. Even with the putridity behind them, they pulled their troops to 49 wins.
So again, why should we expect anything else this season, particularly when the group was in the second half than through the season’s opening salvo?
