Top Three Soccer Picks for Matchday 1 of the Premier League
The wait is over. The Premier League is finally back! Even though Spain and Germany resume next week and Italy the next week, additionally, it means that my weekly column of betting picks creates its return!
Football bettors rejoice!
For new subscribers, I place this column every Friday and put out my three favorite selections across the European soccer world (of fair value;??I will not consist of anything in the -200 area ) and typically outline some information, notes and tendencies that have developed across the leagues. My attention is generally Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1, but I will throw in the occasional Eredivisie or even Liga NOS picks sometime??also.
France’s Ligue 1 starts this weekend also, however I’m going to use this week’s column for a trio of all Premier League selections.
The Premier League will be deep. Yes, we have got the six, but clubs like Everton, Wolves, Leicester, Watford and West Ham could, on paper , put some fear into those larger clubs and produce the table interesting.
Important to notice as always: all the time that it’s in your very best interest to make your bets AFTER starting XI’s have been declared. All these come out roughly an hour before kickoff, however, personnel can change everything. Always have a contingency plan or remain away from gambling a??game completely when a star??player or 2 are dropped from the starting lineup.
Don’t force anything and always remain up to date on participant and manager news and notes.
Also, the very first few weeks can be tough. What’s changed within a club on the summer break? Is that fresh transfer going to pan out from the Premier League? Who’s this new manager? Sometimes it may be best to wait for a few games before you begin betting so that you are able to get a sense of a given team.
That is my advice to you personally. Me? I am gont jump into headfirst this week and I’ve got three Premier League bets up.
Here’s hoping we start with a bang! Let’s go!
As always, odds courtesy Bovada.
The darlings of a casual Premier League viewer along with lots of a footy bettor searching for an underdog play last season, start the new campaign on the street at Leicester. Even though the underdog 1X2 cost of +260 looks pretty good, my play here is going to be OVER 1.0 target for Wolves at +120.
First things first: Wolves were consistently far better against teams that dominated ownership, letting their competitions”think” they were getting their way, even playing”their match .” However, in fact, Wolves were at their best in this specific area then pouncing on mistakes with a blistering counter-attack that often yielded pretty football and even flatter targets.
That is a major part of the reason I’ll be financing the Wolves OVER 1 within their opener. Leicester finished eighth in the Premier League in possession last year (50.8percent ) and this should possibly allow anglers to settle back and play their match.
But another huge issue for Leicester is that the simple fact that their best centre back, Harry Maguire, has been sold to Manchester United with no replacement coming from. What exactly does that mean for the center of the backline? Well, most likely, we will see Jonny Evans and ??aglar S??y??nc?? and if the latter played with a few solid minutes a year ago, I simply don’t see them doing sufficient to keep Wolves off the board.
The Foxes won this fixture 2-0 last season, but Wolves got revival in January using a 4-3 goal-fest in the reverse fixture. I am not implying we see seven objects in this but??I certainly do not see Wolves being kept off the scoresheet. I expect this group to be brimming with confidence to start the season.

Man, did anyone in the Premier League have a much worse move window compared to Crystal Palace? In addition, you may create a case that Everton had just one of the top five windows.
Palace is going to be a disaster this season. They offered assuring young fullback Aaron Wan-Bissaka and did nothing with all the money that they got for him. Who did they earn? Well, it’s a veritable who’s who of dull Premier League players: Jordan Ayew, James McCarthy and Gary Cahill direct the underwhelming collection of all incomings.
I can chat about how I enjoy the loan??go for midfielder Victor Camarasa out of Real Betis, but it is irrelevant. I like OVER 2.5 in +115 in this one and once I glance at the possible Everton XI, I truly wouldn’t be surprised if the Toffees take care of this amount themselves.
Everton may have an assault which contains Richarlison, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Alex Iwobi and Moise Kean on Saturday, the latter two coming over from Arsenal and Juventus respectively. That is a fairly good quartet directly there, people.
Just a couple of the past four Premier League meetings between these two could have eclipsed 2.5 and this fixture last year generated a drab 0-0 contest but it did yield 22 attempts by the people.
Sure, it’s always tricky in the early weeks in regards to betting, but I will tell you this much: I’ll be looking to play Palace at every turn this season and a large reason for that is a deficiency of center encircle the likes of Maguire. I believe Everton has a field day here but that I would not be surprised to see Palace hit on the board. So I will take OVER 2.5.

If you read my column onto Premier League Futures Bets, you will notice I enjoy Brighton to have relegated this season. I don’t expect much from this team and I’m gonna try fading them in their opener out to Watford this particular weekend.
I enjoy Watford a whole good deal. They have the capacity and employees to play some attractive football and score some big wins and money wagers with decent costs attached. Like this place at -110.
The Hornets stack the middle of the pitch in their own 4-2-2-2 creation and boast gifted players such as Troy Deeney, Gerard Deulofeu, Roberto Pereyra and Abdoulaye Doucour??. In addition, they included exciting wide player Isma??la Sarr from Stade Rennais in addition to experienced forwards Danny Welbeck. I liked the installation here but having a prospect along with a veteran coming , Watford has filled out some depth here.
Brighton does not really bring much to the table, but did add some intriguing pieces to the mixture including Neal Maupay, Leandro Trossard and underrated midfielder Aaron Mooy. However, I believe they’re totally outclassed in this one, particularly at Vicarage Road.
Nearly a year ago to this day, Watford won this fixture 2-0 thanks to a brace from Pereyra, that actually faces a late fitness test when he’s to attribute for Javi Gracia. However, I think that the Hornets are ready to bag a win in the front of the home audience and get their season off to a buzzing beginning.
On that note, I will finish this week’s column.
