• NUNI at a Glance

The globalization of education has intensified competition among universities at the international level. This situation demands that higher education institutions in Indonesia strengthen their connections and collaborations, both internally and across institutions. A national-level strategic partnership is essential to optimize resources and produce impactful academic research that addresses pressing national issues.

Indonesian universities must engage in more systematic collaboration in response to the growing complexity of knowledge creation and dissemination. Such partnerships are expected to enhance the mobility of research, faculty, and students sustainably, while also improving the overall quality and global competitiveness of Indonesian higher education.

To address this need, the Nationwide University Network in Indonesia (NUNI) was established as a strategic alliance among leading Indonesian universities. NUNI promotes academic excellence by fostering greater mobility in research, teaching staff, and students. Through this collective initiative, member institutions gain access to opportunities and outcomes that would be difficult to achieve independently or through traditional bilateral collaborations.

To become the most prominent collaboration network among leading universities in Indonesia which encourage the nation’s competitive excellence in the global competitive arena through academic collaboration while upholding the values of nationalism and the spirit of Unity in Diversity (Bhinneka Tunggal Ika).

To contribute the competitive excellence of higher education in Indonesia and helping the government to enhance the quality of higher education in Indonesia especially on implementing tridarma of higher education (teaching, research, and community service).
